Signature Medical Facials for Rejuvenation and Anti-Aging

A facial is a popular type of skin treatment for the face. Facials cleanse, hydrate, exfoliate, and brighten the complexion. There are many types of facials on the market but not all are created equally. At Kitchener Waterloo Cosmetic Clinic we use only the highest quality of ingredients in each and every one of our treatments. Each of our facials has a unique role, indication, and ingredient panel.

Glow Medical Facial

Our signature facial is the Glow Medical Facial, which most closely resembles what one thinks of when it comes to facial treatments. The Glow Medical Facial incorporates the best aspects of a classical facial, with the best parts of a chemical peel, to create a truly medical grade procedure. This treatment purifies, soothes, exfoliates, and hydrates the skin. This is not your standard “spa facial”, this is a medical grade treatment for the ultimate in skin rejuvenation. Your personalized facial begins with a general skin analysis and discussion of your goals, concerns, and specific needs. Our Skincare Expert Raeesa will then cleanse and tone your skin, preparing it for the treatment. A high quality chemical peel, as well as serums, moisturizing agents, antioxidants, and vitamin complexes are applied topically to the face. The entire procedure takes less than 30 minutes in our relaxing North Waterloo office. The Glow Medical Facial is a great treatment for anyone looking for a high quality version of the classic spa facial. You will leave with detoxified, purified, and hydrated skin.

Botox Facial

One of our signature treatments is the “Aquagold Botox Facial”, which utilizes a gold tipped microchanneling device to deposit Botox, Vitamin Complexes, Serums, and Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Filler. This is truly, the ultimate Medical Grade Facial. Only Medical Grade ingredients are used to directly target the skin and rejuvenate collagen and elastin. If you suffer from skin laxity, redness, acne, acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, and want to restore glow and radiance, then a Botox Facial is just what you need. This is best combined with classical treatments like our Glow Medical Facial and frequent Chemical Peels.

Why are Facials Important?

Hydration: Facials will restore an optimal level of hydration. Dehydration leads to dry and damaged skin. Facials help to restore hyaluronic acid, and ceramide levels to the skin, which helps build a strong skin barrier. Hydrated skin is smoother, softer, and glows with radiance.

Soothes: If you have sensitive skin, or suffer from rosacea then a facial can help to soothe and reduce inflammation and redness. Facials soften the skin, leaving it moist and youthful.

Cleansing: Oily, dirt ridden skin leads to acne, poor complexion, and a plethora of skin issues. Facial treatments cleanse the skin deeply, stimulating regeneration, eliminating excess dirt and oil, and exfoliating dead skin cells and the upper layer of skin. This helps reveal healthier skin, brightens complexion, and restores glow and vibrance.

Anti-Aging: As we age our skin loses hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin. Facial procedures can replace lost hyaluronic acid, and stimulate collagen and elastin. This helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, tighten skin laxity, and plump the skin.

Why Medical Grade Facials?

There is little evidence that classical facials do little more than moisturize the skin. While they feel great and you do feel refreshed they don’t do much for your skin in the long run. Cleansing and moisturizing is important, but much of what a spa facial does can be accomplished with proper Skincare to cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize the skin. If you really want a deep treatment that will regenerate and rejuvenate the skin then a Medical Grade Facial treatment is what you need. By adding Medical Grade components and ingredients only available through a medical office, like antioxidants, vitamin complexes, serums, peels, and medical components like Botox and Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Filler we are able to treat underlying issues like acne, scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, redness, laxity, hyperpigmentation, and loss of glow and radiance.

What problems can facials help treat?

There is no way to truly stop aging, but with regular treatments the signs of aging can be repaired and even slowed. Facials can help treat uneven skin texture and poor tone, as well as irregular pigmentation, sun damage and aging spots, mild to moderate acne, acne scarring, as well as fine lines and wrinkles. Our facials are able to do this by taking advantage of high quality medical grade ingredients. You will benefit from more healthier, more youthful looking skin with improved texture and colour.

Why not laser, microneedling, or other treatments like Botox and Filler?

Facials occupy a special role in your treatment plan. Along with Medical Grade Skincare products, a Medical Facial/Medical Peel should form the foundation of your skincare routine. While other treatments like microneedling, botox, filler, PRP, and laser devices are important as well, they do not replace the vital role that a Medical Facial holds. Medical Facials deliver Vitamin Complexes, Serums, Antioxidants, and Exfoliating acids to cleanse and purify the skin.

Treatments like Microneedling with or without PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma), or direct PRP injection are great to stimulate collagen and elastin production. Botox is great to relax over active muscles and settle dynamic facial lines like on the forehead, eyebrows, or around the eye and chin. Fillers are great to add volume, augment the lips, cheeks, chin and jaw, or eliminate smile lines.
